I would have to say that Angelbeat lacks of professionalism because they do not check the registration process and use misleading e-mail messages.
I have read all the disclaimers and notes before signing up so I decided to give it a shot. After registration, I have received a message from Ron Gerber stating that I was "a confirm attendee and a badge in your name will be at the registration desk".
When I went, I was shocked because the registration desk clerk told me that I was not on the list. I explained about the e-mail but he did not seem to care much and called Ron from his phone. I talked to Ron and told him the same thing. Ron told me that my company was not a valid one because it was a competitor of his. I have explained I did not know and stressed the fact that I had to wake up early, pay toll, gas, time, a day off work, etc. and all he told me was if I was willing to pay $300 to get in. Of course, I refused.
I am not questioning the fact my company was a competitor and now allowed to get in (I was not aware of that). I am complaining because of the lack of professionalism. I was supposed to be told I was not expected to come in before the event day (I signed in about a week ago) instead of being rejected. Even though I have received an e-mail saying that an ID with my name was waiting on the registration desk is simply a deceiving reality.
I would liked if Ron would had let me in admitting the lack of professionalism on their part or have an apology which was never given by any of the people I talked to, not even the CEO which represents Angelbeat company.
I am aghased about the fact that probably many people got already in the same situation than me and this must be corrected immediately. Please, find the attached e-mail picture as PROOF of their lack of professionalism.

Angelbeat Policies Do Not Allow Direct Competitors to Attend For Free
AUTHOR: rgerber - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, January 28, 2016
The individual who filed this report failed to include the relevant information regarding who is eligible to receive a free pass, which are explicitly listed on the FAQ section of the Angelbeat website and copied below.
The free pass guidelines explicitly state that as a competitor who is selling to end users, he is not eligible to receive a free pass. These guidelines also state that even if he did in fact signup then he would have received an automatic email from Eventbrite, but then a second email cancelling his registration, which is what exactly happened.
The lack of professionalism is not with Angelbeat but with this individual, who is trying to sneak into an event that is financed by his competitors.
As a general policy Angelbeat does not offer free passes to individuals at companies that are looking to sell their products/services to the end user personnel described above who attend our events at no charge. If you fall in this category and would still like to attend then the fee is $300/person. To sign up please click here, complete the pdf document that appears and fax it back to Angelbeat at 703-783-8015.
All free attendees must be pre-approved in advance by Angelbeat and Angelbeat reserves the right to accept or reject a free pass request at its discretion. If you do not meet the above criteria and still try to register, then you will receive an automatic reply/confirmation from Eventbrite. However you will shortly receive another email from Angelbeat, rejecting and cancelling your registration.
