A couple of months ago, after my cat developed what was chronic diarrhea I took my cat to the Emergency Vet Service in Tulsa. They re-hydrated my cat which was a good thing but gave her Metrodozone, which I was told was the protocol treatment of course with the advice I take my cat to her regular vet for a follow up. Well three trips to the her regular vet later and use even another round of this miracle drug Metrodozone, I brought my cat home today, she stumbled out of her cage and somehow made it to the bedroom and even to her favorite resting place the dirty clothes basket. She cried out and me and my wife spent most of the night stroking her and telling we loved her
. The last visit I had with my regular vet euthanasia was suggested and I will probably go that route if she is still alive tomorrow but it is doubtful. My complaint is two of the side effects of Metrodozone are diarrhea and hepatic failure and oh by the way the next to last visit my regular vet noted she was showing signs of liver failure and was jaudice. Also there is a warning that the medication not be given to debilitated patients which my cat was. All they did was give my cat a placebo and made her condition worse.
A specialist is associated with the clinic and had they arranged an ultraound my kitty could of been helped. Autumn is a very sweet and loving cat and it saddens me as we were unable to help her and took her to uncaring and unprofessional veternarians who apparantly care only for the money and will prescribe protocol treatments that are contradictive to the animal's condition. Her regular vet did let us finally give her an anti diarrhea medication which did give her one good day where she was eating and drinking and moving around. This place shout be shut down as they do not know what they are doing and their care actually harms the animals you love.
