Animas - Dexcom G4 Medical Device Failures Mississagua Ontario Nationwide

I ordered the new continuous blood glucose monitoring system from Dexcom $1,870.00 Canadian.  (The G4)  I have only used 2 sensors which were both supposed to last at least 7 days each.   Neither did.  When one of the sensors fell off my body, I didn't realize it, and I lost an $800 "transmitter" which was attached to it. 

Dexcom promised to provide me with a free replacement (usually $800), but forgot to tell the distributor so I waited for 2 weeks and then discovered that they had dropped the ball.  Now the distributor wants the original transmittor back, or they won't mail me a new one. 

At the end of the day, I discovered that they HAVE NO RETURN POLICY.   If you don't like the system, or their terrible customer service, you have to stick with it, or swallow the $2k loss.  Because they are medical supplies they cannot be returned. 

What a disaster.  If you are considering buying a CGM from Dexcom, proceed with caution.  You can't get your money back after you pay up.
