I use to work for Ann Taylor,it started out to be a great place to work until the 2nd week of work, one of the tasks we had to do was to get people to sign up for the Ann Taylor or Loft visa/mastercard, or just a store card. I started out as a stock clerk so i was'nt sure how this exactly worked so the first time i was out on the floor after an hour or so someone agreed to sign up with me to get a card,i was excited told everyone,a few days later a fellow co-worker came up to me and started to say one of the assistant managers was complaining about me,but i should'nt confront person,i said well what exactly did she say? she said i can't tell you...i got extremely upset but went back to work, about 25 minutes to a half hour later same girl comes back and asks did you say anything to anyone? i said no..she said well if you do i'm gonna kill you, then this made me really nervous i did'nt know what to do,so as i was leaving i grabbed my boss aside and told her what had happened, she was alittle surprised, the following monday my old store manager called me to come in the back room,so i followed her,and she asked to repeat the events and i did,she called the girl, who was the assistant manager who i spoke to before i left that, then called me back, and said she would be calling corporate and go from there,i left this past July and nothing was ever done to the girl who threatened me.

we got a new manager who was abit difficult to get use to. he never liked the way i did things, but never explained anything to me as to what i was doing wrong he just stopped me from doing my job,and had someone else do it.all of a sudden my hours started getting cut to 4 hours a week, again no reason given,i did'nt ask. i spend alot of time on facebook, people were asking how was the new boss, how was the job,i told people the truth..i hated my job now, hated the boss(called him a few choice words),everytime something new arose, did'nt want to work there anymore. the next few weeks still no hours. he finally came over to me and said i need to talk to you,i said fine so we went in the back and he said do you know why your hours had been cut? i said no,he explained that one of my wonderful co-workers saw my postings on fb and thought it would be important let him know, they went on my page copied what i said and sent it to corporate.i felt like my identity had stolen!i was told that my job's fate held until that Saturday, and i had to tell him right there then if i was coming back i said yeah to get off my back,i decided it was'nt worth the aggrivation, and never went back.

warning never get a job at ann taylor! big scam!

Your identity was not stolen.  YOU posted on your own free will things on your Facebook account.  Social Networking sites are a great source for Private Detectives, Employers, and theives to find out what certain people are doing.

Employers can use Facebook to not only know what their employers are posting, such as if they hate their job.  But also by when they are doing things.  Since just about everything is timestamped it is very easy to tell if a person is "working" on their job or "working" on Facebook.  It is also a great way for theives to find opportunies.  After all when you post that you are going on vacation.  To your "friends" that says that you are going to be out of town having fun, to a "thief" that says that your house will be empty.

So in short unless you want everyone to know about something almost instantly, it is best to NOT put it on the Internet.
