Anna Delgado, Litigation Support Group Scam alert. Cinncinati Ohio

 I Recieved a voicemail from a woman named Anna Delgado.  When I called the number back, the woman answered and told me that a file had been forwarded to her desk by a woman named Melissa Harvey from Litigation Services Inc (who I already know has had reports filed against her and her company).  She stated that I needed to pay an out of court restitution for a pay day loan that I had not taken out.  I knew which alleged pay day loan she was referring to (from dealing with Ms. Harvey this past summer) and had already done the investigating on the account, which had no record of any pay day loan or payment towards the alleged loan.  I stated that I had investigated the account over the summer and that I had neither applied for any pay day loan nor recieved.  I also stated that I reside in New York and that it is illegal for companies to give and collect on pay day loans from New York State residents.  I also stated that my state has certain regulations that collectors are expected to abide by when collecting from New Yorkers over the phone which she was not doing.  She replied by saying that people do illegal things all the time, that I should conduct myself accordingly (which I was) and that she wished me luck with what happens next.  When I asked her which company she was representing and what law firm she was with, she gave me the name of the pay day loan company and said that she wasn't with a law firm. She said that she worked for a company called litigation support group.  I calmly thanked her and hung up.  Then, I got online and did some research.  I researched the pay day loan company name that she had given me and called them to verify that no such loan was taken out in my name.  The Gentleman on the phone said that he didn't see any accounts in my name and that I was correct in stating that it was illegal to get a pay day loan in New York and that the company did not give pay day loans to New York State residents. 

One last thing, when I dealt with Melissa Harvey over the summer, she had given me a different loan company name which I researched but was unable to find it (likely because it was a bogus company).  Ms. Harvey's company was also located in San Antonio, Texas while Ms. Delgado was calling from an Ohio phone number.  I thought that was really strange, and I'm filing a report with my state's department of finance.
