Anslem Jackson & Eric Aponte (John), Metro Air Duct Cleaning / Mr. Jackson's Carpet Cleaning Committing Theft and Using Bait and Switch Tactics Chantilly Virginia

       I was hired my "John" from a craigslist.org post, a person I later found out was Eric Aponte (washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/sls/4497097992.html), for a telemarketing job that I needed. After being brought in for the interview I was immediatly hired and put to work same day. The job was to be a contracting job that paid and hourly wage of $10/hour plus commission for any sales made. My first clue as to the illegitmacy of this "gig" was I never filled out a 1099 for taxes or the I-9 to show if I was a legal citizen. I was told that we are paid weekly and the first week would be paid the following friday, possible but not typical for someone working on a 1099. Its always paid same week.

       During my first week of working there I was told via email by Mr. Aponte that I was never to give our address out for any reason. I found out they have no website and was told the "Mr. Jackson has dedicated all his money into phone advertising". Which is bogus, any legit business has a digitial store front for customers who wish to have the service done without needing to wait for a telemarketer to call and offer the service. When working there in that week I used a predictive dialer that randomly called people in the northern virginia area, often times calling numbers on the DNC. I was provided with databases of numbers to call and scripts to follow. I am sure having a paralegal background that a lot of this violates federal law. I am also aware they use bait and switch tactics when preforming the services in air duct cleaning and carpet cleaning.

       After doing more research on these two people I decided I needed to resign and waited for my pay check. I was ran around for a week until I decided I was going to wait in the parking lot to confront Mr. Jackson and/or Mr. Aponte. I knew from my research they have done this to others who have worked for them and did not pay them and there are 2 reports on this site detailing this. I do not know how long these 2 have been in operation but I do know its a scam all the way around. I will recommend that if you are contacted by them or have been contacted by them to report them immediatly to law enforcment. I have all documentation and emails to show all this. Pictures of both their license plates and pictures of them. Jim Carrol I know you have not gotten paid yet and I know they will not pay you. I have no way to contact you but I am going to try.
