We rented property from this guy. It was a "brand new" house that had never been lived in. It was an old converted schoolhouse and it sat on a very pretty 10 acres.

The house looked real nice when we moved in, then we started to notice little things like the fact that more than half the windows were thin plexi-glass. There were piles of junk laying all over the yard that he said would be picked up and they never were.

The electric bills on the house ranged anywhere from $275-500+ per month!! It stayed freezing cold all winter and the heater wouldn't heat the place. He never would come fix it. When our dishwasher didn't work, he sent his handyman over with a broken junk one that the handyman told me they "found in a barn" and installed it. It was also broken, so he ended up buying a cheap new one. We went for a couple weeks with no dishwasher. 

The backyard had big oil tanks in it, which he told us would be removed, but they never were. We had several animals die that we found covered in oil. They were leaking and he didn't want to do anything to fix it!!

Not to mention the fact that he would drive up and down our driveway at random times to "check up on the place" it was totally creepy and harassing.
