The AX 909 HDTV antenna from Antenna Hub was advertised (2010) as having a range of 100 miles. The transmitting stations are 70 - 80 miles away and reception was nil to poor and was dependent on atmospheric (weather) conditions.
Furthermore, the flimsy construction was not standing up to occassional windy conditions of 30-40 mph.
Antenna Hub did offer to refund me if I returned the antenna at my expense. To do this, I would
have to climb up on a second story roof or hire someone to remove it. Then I would have to find a suitable box, securely pack it, and the take it to a UPS station. It would have cost me nearly as much as the antenna itself!
In that the company, Antenna Hub, blatantly and falsely overhyped the antenna, I felt they should have refunded me the full amount without the return.

Before placing the order with Antenna Hub, I had specific questions about performance of their
AX 909 HDTV antenna. So I went on their website chat room and gave specific information
about height of antenna, local geography, position of trees/forest, as well as distance from transmitting stations. Antenna Hub/s rep came back on all accounts, "No problem" !!
no problem, no problem !! Isn't that false advertising? If they were on the 'up and up', the
least they could have done would be to pay for returned shipment. I'm in my mid seventies, I
don't like climbing on a two story roof, and besides the antenna was only $56 (which should
have been my first clue). If Antenna Hub had express some doubt about reception
being adequate in my situation - then I wouldn't have a 'leg to stand on'. But no, they kept
saying there would be no problem. Obviously, their chat-room personnel were train to sell, sell, sell; not assess potential technical difficulties. Buddy

I have to agree with the previous poster. No company is going to give you a refund without returning the product. Too many companies would get scammed for free mechandise. I went to the company's website and looked up your model number. No where does it claim that it will work at 100 miles. It claims that it will work up to that amount, but they make no gauruntee. The website says some customers have reported over 100 mile reception. It clearly says in multiple places that it may not work that far. Did you cross reference your location with the map on their website before ordering to make sure you got the right one?

I am the former owner of a mail order internet electronics company. Most customers are honest so the idea that you suggest probably seemed to make sense to you. Product did not work as hoped for, you should get your money back without a return.
In the real world a retailer would go broke if they had a policy of offering a refund without a product return. The bad people of the world would jump al over it.
As to reception at this distance that you are, everything is critical at this distance, you probably need to spend several hundred dollars to have a pro come out and measure field strength and then get you the right antenna set up.
