Anthem Career College UEI College LIES For MONEY Houston Texas

I was a walk in to Anthem Career College in the spring of 2014. It had just opened its doors and only had one group of students. My student advisor talked very highly of the schools background and that they had a very high graduation rate. I was always reluctant about going to a technical school as I had been attending community college for sometime but I was getting tired of the slow pace and unnecessary classes I was being forced to take. 

  My advisor told me by coming to Anthem and enrolling in thePCT program I would graduated in 9 months and leave the school with 3 certifications. The first for Patient Care technology. The second for Phlebotomy and the third for EKG. This was confirmed by all the staff members I came in contact with from the Dean to the financial aid advisor. I was very excited and felt that it would be worth the very costly tuition of $16,000 plus dollars. even though I stated several time this was a very high tuition for just a 9 month course they all assured me it was standard and all my certification cot were included. 

   About three months in there started to be rumors that none of what I was told was true but no one was speaking up. When the new Dean came about five months in we were brought to a meeting to clear the rumors they said about us receiving a certification in anything. We were then told we would not receive a certification of any kind only a PCT diploma which is about as good as toilet paper in Texas we would soon find out. Most of us were taking the PCT course to work in the hospital. We were told then we could not be employed by a hospital without a CNA certification and that Anthem could not certify us in anything as they did not have the course curriculum or a proctor to give certifications. 

   For added fun we were then told that Anthem College was going to no longer exist as they were being bought out by a new parent company. We were promised all of these little glitches would be dealt with and everyone was going to get CNA certified by having to complete their time at Anthem/UEI and then attend an additional six weeks of CNA training at Texas School of Business. Even though they were going to be paying the cost of TSB we all still feel so screwed over. We did not sign on to do six weeks at another school.

   We supposed to be made to feel better by being told all the people who caused the "misunderstanding" are long gone. Well woop dee doo. The damage is done and by the time we found out we didn’t have the luxury of saying no we want our money back because this IS NOT WHAT WE SIGNED UP FOR. And along with all this drama we dealt with going a whole MOD without the corresponding book. This happened in several of my MODS. The computer lab (which is part of our tuition) never worked. And unprofessional lazy employees that have no idea what they are doing. Despite the smiles and fake we care about you speeches.....we all know you screwed us and there is legal action coming.
