Same as you guys. Pop up prevented me from using my pc. saying that I had 44 viruses, trojans etc. there was even a logo in my bottom tooltray. made it look genuine. I am very security concious and can spot a scan a mile off - but i admit this one had me. As mentioned it did not have a payment confirmation or cancel button - it just shot straight through and generated payment. My one stated it was 29.99 GBP - but it tried adding two more on - I unticked these. It actually took out 49.99 GBP and a $2.42c commission fee. ALL i got was a virus for my payment from that fake company. I had to spend a further 15 GP to a genuine company for software to remove their virus plant. I phoned my bank helpline to be cut of 5 times. Then got through to a rotweillor who said that as I entered my card details - it was my problem and I couldn't claim back. Went to my local bank brach next day all ready to close my account after being with them for appox 25 years. But they were nice as pie an they were disgusted with their telephone collegues behavior. I received a claim form through the post, filled it in and received a letter (on going case - so i won't go into it). sent it off Yesterday.

Just received an email from Antivirus 2008 Customer Support Center stating that they have undercharged me and will be making another charge on my card.

If only I had saw this place (HERE) before i sent my reply to my bank claims department yesterday - or - even better, I wish I had saw it Before i first saw this antivirus 2088 ripp off Scam.

A google (UK) search shows that antivirus is a new sacm to hit the UK - first detected May 2008.

Tried to find them (before I received the email This Evening). All I could find out was that on my bank & online statement - it showed as "CUSTOMERHELP.COM" an internet search shows - what I can only describe as an internet vesion of - a UK PO Box address" - (Or Mailbox number in the USA) - untracable. Not even a contact us. the "Complaints" link on the navigation bar - took me to a page listing adverts of services for "Claims so9licitors". (Lawyers).

Well Guys, After contact via Snail Mail and further indepth requests from my Bank.

Their conclusion is that as I entered my Card Details in personally - I cannot claim it back.

They told me that I have to contact the com0any myself and claim it back that way.

I have already told them that they are un-traceable.

I have lost 55 GBP.

I have opened a new bank account elsewhere and - after 20 + years with BARCLAYS BANK - I am going to cloase my account with them.
