I connected a new computer which had expired Norton antivirus. After a few days of the kids playing online games the computer kept getting reports of major problems. One morning a report was on this computer that said we had 41 viruses scanned. I thought okay I will take care of that and signed up for this companys product. There were two boxes checked that I thought I unchecked which were add ons for Alpha Wipe Tracks Cleaner 2008 and Premium support.
So when I received the invoice I owed 49.95 for the antivirus 34.95 for alphawipe and 24.95 for premium support they called this the bundle. I tried all morning to reach customer support and finally in the late afternoon after many wasted hours I reached Amy that told me she was billing and support. I told her I did not want alpha wipes and premium support as I had no idea what it would be good for since it took me all day to reach support. She said she would reverse the charges for those services but that it could take several months for me to see that action.
That first day I seemed to have an antivirus program running and alpha wipes seemed to perform some kind of action although I was still not sure what. Antivirus2008 icon came up as a shortcut on the desk top and clicking on it said virus protection was high, all green lights.
After several days of the kids using the computer with no further action an my part things began to fall apart. Couldn't get on the internet couldn't reach my email. I have contacted there customer support on another computer. So far I have only received the thank you for your purchase email. I have not tried the phone number again as have not had the day to waste.
I am stopping payment to them as it has not come out of my account as yet. I only wish I had checked out this company ,which I don't even know the name of, before I ordered. I thought I would save myself some time and headaches but little did I realize what a huge mistake that would be.
