I have been a member of Anytime Fitness club since may/2007. I have always prepaid my membership 6 months in advance,everything was fine untill may/june of 2008, after i renewed and paid for my 3rd 6-month renewal. Anytime fitness Corprate transferred my membership from my home club in jacksonville,fl to another club 30 miles away. I called during the month of June/2008 on 2 different dates and followed up with a email requesting that my membership be transferred back to my Home Club.Anytime Fitness Corprate refused, so on june 28,2008 i filed a complaint with the BBB.
On july 24,2008 i recieved a call from Marty Flanagan with Anytime Fitness Corprate who stated he has transfered my membership back to my Home Club and has Also blocked my key fob from all nationwide locations of Anytime Fitness Clubs.
Well as stated on the Anytime fitness Corprate website,after 30 days of membership you can visit any other ATF club nationwide 24/7. But that turns out to be untrue.
I have always followed the Rules and Policies of every ATF club i've been to, I have always paid on time,6 months of membership at a time-I feel that the Rug has been snatched out from beneath me at ATF.
My 3rd renewal started in june/2008 and isn't suppose to expire untill november/2008,But my account has been in limbo since june/2008

This is the address to my home atf club,which has been very Helpful to my problems with atf.They have tried on numerious times to explain and plead to them that atf corprate was wrong for what they had done to my account, and to Please return my account and its stautus back to what it was before ATF Corprate stuck there hands into it.
ATF Corprates only explanation for transfering my account was,that i used another club-not my home club, 6 times in 6 days in june/2008 so that gives them the right to transfer my account/raise my membership price.
So apparently where they advertize about using any other gym after your first 30 days,nationwide 24/7 is also false as listed on there website. www.anytimefitness.com
I would like to also add,that in feburary-march-april/2008 that i attended 4 other local atf clubs,some for 3 weeks at a time and never experinced my account being transfered without my consent.
I believe the regional rep Marty Flanagan along atf corprate and atf middleburg,fl are trying to build the Customer base at this new location-in middleburg,florida-by taking members accounts from other atf clubs.
When i filed a complaint with the BBB, the repercussion to me was they would further destroy my atf account.
