Apex Unified Services Said I won vacation & camera, got acct info, never sent anything, and made withdrawl from my acct of $169.93 Las Vegas Nevada

I was telephoned and said that I had been selected for a vacation and new digital camera. The representative stated that they would send information and then I would be responsible to write a check to them to pay for the S&H of 1.99. Upon payment of this S&H, I would subscribe to some temporary services.

They said they needed a checking acct number to verify that the check that was sent in matched, so that they knew that they were giving the "gift" to the correct person.

I never received anything from the company, but on 4/11/08, a check that was written to Apex was cashed from my account, in the amount of $169.76. Not only did I not receive anything from this company, but I did not return a check to them to pay for the S&H and/or authorize any transactions from my account.

I called, and everyone said that the money was non-refundable. I said they were a scam, and they did not respond, they just said that they were not going to refund any money.
