Apollo Relocation Services Worst Scam Movers, Overcharge! Loose/Steal/Damage Your Items Long Island City New York

Nightmare or a moving company.  We had a binding not-to-exceed price, but once the job was loaded, we were charged an additional $4,500!  No one at Apollo would answer the phone.  The "movers" showed up on a rented truck and refused to show me the rental agreement. We had NO IDEA who we were dealing with.  Refused to show id.  Threatened to dump our stuff in the driveway and write us up as "refused services".  We called the police, and guess what?  The guy gave me a fictitious name. We knew we were in trouble, but had no choice.  Then, we got bombarded with emails from at least 5 different companies with different payment instructions! Jump to 4 weeks later, only some of our items were ultimately delivered.  The boxes we carefully packed, (U-Haul boxes, specifically built for moving) were crushed, had an oily substance on them, were ripped open, and banged up.  Of 144 items, about 28 boxes are still missing.  We also lost items including an expensive bicycle, power washer, tools,  2 huge surf boards, tabels, etc.  Our chairs were broken, our cabinets bashed in.  The delivery people called their warehouse and they said they had some of the missing items, but didn't know who they belonged to since there were no stickers on them.  What we thought was good news turned out to be a dead end.  Apollo failed to contact whoever has our items.   Apollo has given up on us after telling us every excuse in the book.  We were told to file a claim and someone would look into it.  Really?  Apollo couldn't figure it out, so how is the "service company" they push you off on going to straightn things out and get us our missing items?  We would give this company the worst review possible, and advise all others to avoid using this company if you ever want to see your items again, or if you care about your hard-earned money.  NIGHTMARE!
