Apple Dentists Terrible Dentists Houston, Texas

I had just moved to Houston,TX from Los Angeles,CA and I had a horrible toothache. It was six o'clock in the evening and I was on my break at work and I had to see a dentist. This was the only office open, so I stopped in to see if I could see a dentist. The woman who greeted me told me that they had an opening, and then she walked away. I was then approached by another woman who said that they were, "Closed." At that point, another worker said that they could fit me in, so I sat down and waited. I was asked if I was, "in pain," and I said, "Yes, lots of pain." At that point I was told that the dentist would take care of the pain for me.

They called me in and sat me in the chair. They told me that they needed to take xrays and I said, "okay.' They took the xrays and I sat down in the chair. At that point I was told that the doctor would be "right with me." Well, I waited, and I waited, and I waited. The doctor did not come. I started looking at my watch because I was still on the clock. I waited another half an hour and no one came. Finally I pulled a medical assistant aside and asked him where the doctor was. He said he would get her for me. I waited another thirty minutes. Finally, I pulled him aside again and he got her.

When she approached me, she was extremely rude. She didn't introduce herself or anything. She never apologized for the wait, and acted like she was doing me a favor. She looked in my mouth, briefly and then at the xrays and said I needed multiple root canals. I found out that she was lying, after I had a good dentist look at my teeth. I guess this is Apple's way of making more money. I told the dentist that I was in horrible pain and that I had been taking motrin and tylenol but they weren't working. At that point she said that she would give me something for the pain. She told me that she could have the root canal doctor perform a root canal in a week and I said that I'd rather have a doctor in humble, near my home, perform the root canal. She got mad after I said that and took off in a huff. Never said "Goodbye, or good luck." She simply walked away. As I was walking out of the patient room the nurse asked me what kind of pain meds I had taken and I told her "Vicodin." She said, "Well the doctor can't give you that," and then she gave me a script for Motrin. I had told the doctor that I was taking tons of motrin and it wasn't helping. At that point I was extremely upset. Not only was I in excruciating pain, but I was also peeved with the office. The place is extremely fancy looking to mask the fact that the doctors are incompetant and the service sucks. Do not go to Apple. They won't help you if you're in pain. Wait and see a good dentist.
