My family sends me gift cards for different hollidays. This is the second time I know they shorted me on a gift card. It seems that once you use part of the card (say it is a $50 card and you only use $25) the balance on the card evaporates. I had a card that still should have had over $20 dollars on it and last night I went to use it and the balance was $0. I haven't had a chance to use the rest of the card for about 3 months and now the value went to $0. I wish someone would challange them on this. Is there anyone else who has had this problem?

I am in Illinois and we actually have a law here that prohibits this sort of thing. Start out small and try to speak to your county comissioner, alderman, councilman, etc...I'm sure you can't be the only person in your town who this has happened to and thinks it's unfair.
