Applegate Property Management, Inc. Frequent errors in accounting, demands for payments already made, notices to vacate New Richmond, Wisconsin

Every month this landlord emails out a demand for payment of a late charge on my account.  The charge is a $3.00 "Convenience fee" that is charged for paying my rent electronically.  However, the fee is paid each month on time at the same time I pay the rent.

For reasons that they never explain, despite my zero balance account, they continue to send a demand for payment.  When called via telephone they say, "You have a zero balance.  Late fee notices are sent out automatically."  They have never yet explained why they demand payment on a current account, send a late notice on zero balances, nor have they indicated when this practice will end.

They seem to hold a clear attitude of, "The customer is always wrong."  The office staff is unresponsive, and clearly based on output, the accounting practices are sketchy.

Be very careful in dealing with Applegate Property Management.  They are not easy to deal with, and they are frequently inaccurate in their statements of account.
