Appleseeds Classic Living / Encore Marketing International Cramming Lanham Maryland

Last December, I made a gift-purchase on line from Appleseed's. My wife, who pays our MasterCard bill each month, assumed that the $14.95 charge per month was authorized.

In fact, Appleseed's had enrolled me without my consent in a program, "Classic Living," operated by Encore Marketing International. Had material been mailed to me each month, as Appleseed's later told me should have happened, I would have realized that something was wrong. I would also have had the chance to cancel this membership without charge during the first 30 days. I called Appleseed's. They were polite, but they assumed no responsibility. When I saw other complaints on this site by those who have had similar experiences, I called my credit card company.
