Traded in a perfect 2011 Silerado truck to down size and to obtain lower payments for a 2005 Tacoma. The Tacoma was purchased in good faith and obtained a warranty with it. Drove the Tacoma off the lot and discovered it would not stay on the road at high speeds. Took it back the next day and was told it is the tires they are too big. Asked to have them check it and fix it is is not safe on the highway. Service balanced and aligned it and it still was unsafe. Took it back again and they said its the tires. Did not offer to replace them but did offer to have us replace them and if we where not satisfied they would cover the cost if we where not satisfied after installing new tires. Asked to give us our 2011 Silverado back and they said NO. We replaced the tires and the Tacoma still shook on the highway. Other Service centers said it may be tie rods and idel arms and shocks and struts. Took it back to Toyota Service and they placed the service managers tires and rims on the Tacoma - tested it and it drove much better. The Toyota Service center Inspector said it is likely the rims that need replaced. Went to Sales and asked to have the rims replaced - they sent us to Less Schwab Tires and they tried to balance the rims. The weights on the rims kept falling off every time we test drove it. Less Schwab said the rims are shot and rusted out - asked Toyota to replace them and they refused. They told Less Schwab to balance them no matter what. We tried to talk to the Toyota Sales Manager and they ignored us. Less Schwab placed three sets of weights on the rims - Less Schwab after speaking to the Toyota sales manager who would not talk to us claimed that there is nothing wrong with the rims or the truck and that the new tires are bad so do not blame Toyota. We left with the Tacoma and it is still not safe to drive.

We are now stuck with a used Toyota Tacoma with a possible bad front end and unsafe rims. Lost a 2011 Silverado with 15,000 miles on it for this. Asked Toyota to give us our old truck back or to trade for something better - We are just ignored

The customer service and follow up from Appleway Toyota is the worst ever. They do not care about customers and will not work with you if you have any problems. Stay away from this rip off dealer

Scotty, Feel free to 'Google' this- CONSUMER COMPLAINTS ABOUT TOYOTA AIRBAGS, and.....

AUTHOR: Karl - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 02, 2012

read all of the complaints from Toyota owners whose airbags did not deploy when they were in accidents with their Toyota cars and trucks.

Then 'Google' this- CONSUMER COMPLAINTS ABOUT TOYOTA ENGINE PROBLEMS, and read all of those complaints.

You can contact the General Manager of the dealership and tell him or her that you would like to have a meeting in order to discuss the problem. You can also spread your Ripoff Report all over the web at sites like Twitter and Facebook. Do it every day. Expose the Toyota dealership and let others know how they treat their customers.

You can also send a copy of your Ripoff Report to Toyota Corporation's headquarters in Torrance, California. (The address is available at Ripoff Report #269840. Just type in 269840 at this site and it appears above that Ripoff Report.)

Good luck to you.
