Appliances Depot CRIMINALS THAT STEAL MONEY AND DO NOT PRODUCE WHAT YOU PAID FOR Perth Amboy New Jersey

Received email from a Rachel Campbell, Customer Support for www.appliances-depot.com when I responded to her ad on Craigslist for a refrigerator, asking her for the cubic size of the product.  Her email came from outsaledepot@gmail.com    She told me where to find the fridge that was being advertised on Craigslist and said to submit the payment within 24 hours and they will ship it next business day after payment is done.  Email stated that all the products from Appliances Depot were brand new in factory sealed box with full manufacturers warranty incuded, free shipping on all appliances during the promotion.  

This was in May of 2013.   We researched the Internet but found nothing for Appliances Depot in Perth Amboy, NJ.  We googled the address and found a map showing a warehouse at that address, listed for another appliance company.  There were no ripoff reports at that time, nothing showing any issues with the company.

We found the refrigerator that we wanted to purchase, again tried to research them on the Internet then when we found nothing we decided to order.   At that time they said they did not take credit cards and advised to go to a Green Dot/Money Pak location to load the money on a prepaid MoneyPak card.   There were Green Dot locations at Walmart and K-Mart.  Green Dot's paperwork showed this to be something that can be loaded to Pay Pal for E-bay shopping, so we assumed it to be ok.  Not ok.   Green Dot appears to be a criminal's best friend.   

We loaded the $730 onto a MoneyPak card and completed our order for the refrigerator.   We were issued an Invoice, showing the amount we paid, the item we purchased, the delivery date, our address, everything needed.  But the refrigerator never arrived.   Any correspondence to Appliances Depot came back as a generic response.  

The order and payment was completed on 6/10/13 and the estimated delivery date was 6/14/13.  We never received it.

We called Green Dot MoneyPak and were given a case number and were told that someone reloaded the money the very next day to another MoneyPak account.  They knew the person who did this but said they could not give us that information. They suggested we contact our local police department to file a police report.  Green Dot would give the police any and all information they had, just could not give to us.

We contacted our police department but were unable to file a police report.  The police recommended that we contact the city prosecutor's office.   The prosecutor's office could not help us either since the crime was not committed in our jurisdiction.   The prosecutor's office suggested that we contact the Attorney General.   We did and were told that Appliances Depot were out of business and they did not know any other options.  

The website continues to be updated, so someone is still in business.   They are still stealing from customers, promising delivery but never following through.   Nice business to get into, right?   

These are pathetic criminals, stealing from hardworking Americans.   And in my opinion, so are the Green Dot MoneyPak folks.   They are the vehicle that the criminals work through.
