April Jackson from Alexander LLC also part of Alexander Automotive pays housekeeps pirce rates and does not ask/want the hours worked by its employees. Many times this peice work will not equal Minumum wage since many rooms take longer than 30 minutes to finish and they only pay the housekeepers threee to four dollars per room. After recieving my paycheck and mutiplying the hours workes times minumum wage i found out i was making less than seven dollars and hour. Then after finding this out on my second day of employment they fired my and deducted 25 dollars from my less than minumum wage paycheck.Ihave contacted them via email 5 times now with no reply. The sub contract for Double Tree Suites in Huntsville Alabama. Please be aware that they use what i think is unlawfull practices and i plan to report them to the BBB.My email to them stated im protected under the minumum wage law and made less than minumum wage and could prove such.Still though no reply at all from my emails.Id stay clear of them and Double Tree Suites in Huntsville Alabama.Alabamas E verify law was supposed to keep employers from taking advantage of undocumented workers so they just use Temp services to keep paying the wages that they paid the illegals.

Regarding Alexander Cleaning

AUTHOR: Alexander Cleaning - ()

POSTED: Friday, January 31, 2014

Alexander Cleaning were sub contracted by this hotel to clean the rooms that guests stayed in and vacated.  With regards to the minimum wage comment.  This company pays it's employees by the room.  Hotel standards dictate that two check outs (a room that is vacated) or three stayovers (longer term guests) are to be cleaned within a 1 hour period.  If an employee cannot clean two rooms in one hour then they need to choose an alternate profession.  As these rooms are suites, the employees here were paid $4.00 per room ($8.00 or $12.00 per hour depending on which rooms they clean - MORE than the minimum wage).  With regards to your emails, if it took you 4 hours to clean 3 rooms then it is highly unsurprising that you were let go.  Large hotels like the Doubletree need rapid service and taking this long to clean a small amount of rooms is not acceptable.  When you were interviewed you were informed of the pay and termination policies and by accepting the job, you accepted those conditions.  My apologies that you feel you rights have been violated.

Good Job For Reporting The Wage Theft. NOW CONTACT THE AUTHORITIES

AUTHOR: PIEOPE - ()

I too have been the victim of wage theft, however, not in Alabama. It was in Texas. I reported it through the Texas Wage Claim Office and they sent me a letter telling me they would levy my employers bank account. They moved quick and soon I had a check cut by them which they made my employer send them.

However, you are in Alabama and you need to find out where to report wage theft to in your state. Alabama is sort of like Mississippi with a bunch of dumbed down redneckish republicans running that state and they probably have fought hard against any kind of wage protections for the workers in that state. Most of the people are sleeping with their family members and are too dumbed down through inbreeding to know that their republican leaders are screwing them.

Contact your wage theft office FIRST and if you don't have one there contact the unemployment office and call the Dept of labor. They will point you in the right direction.

And again... Thanks for responding online and letting the world know what an underhanded ruthless slave driver this woman is.
