Ripoff Report Verified REVIEW:

EDitors UPDATE: Positive rating and recognition has been given to APX Alarm for its commitment to excellence in customer service.

Ripoff Reports discussions with the company have uncovered an ongoing commitment to total customer satisfaction. You can expect to have any questions or concerns that you have with them to be answered and resolved in a timely manner. They have shown us their customer service process, and it reflects a desire to serve customers, as well as fix problems.

The company's management specifically told us about how their job is to simplify lives and help people to live intelligently. The management really wants every person who buys a system to feel valued. The concern for each customer's experience starts at the top, and is reflected in the action of every employee they hire.

The company also works to monitor their sales and customer support calls to see how they can be improved. They use these calls as examples for employees in training. Currently, Vivint is working to make changes to their contracts to make things easier for their customers as they have found that many of their complaints stem from feeling misled or customers paid fees they did not feel they authorized.

NOW TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED

-----------------------------------
APX Alarm Company APX ALARM COMPANY LIES TO CONSUMERS TO GET THEM TO AGREE TO CONTRACT Provo Utah

Apex Alarm company blankets new areas and sends out people who lie to consumers to get deals. They told me that they will charge $31.99 per month to meet the local area charges but the actual charge is $39.99.

I called to question the $39.99 charge to my account and they told me that I signed the contract with that amount shown. I believe this amount was written on the contract after I signed. This amount on the copy is the only information that is legible on the copy other than my signature. The salesperson made sure that everything else was written so lightly that it is not readable.

They told me that the salesperson would contact me but I have yet to receive a call.

I questioned the 60 month contractual obligations on the contract before signing and was told that I could cancel at any time because the actual term of the service is from month to month. The salesman even showed me the cancellation form.

Now, after their raising the prices on my contract twice in the last 3 months, they told me that there is no cancellation option and that I have to pay the full 60 month term of the contract.

I questioned how they can make a consumer pay for a "service contract" in full when the service is being provided month to month will be canceled. The office girl, Nancy, did not respond.

I also asked to speak to a supervisor and Nancy told me that there were no other people with which I could speak.

I believe that the APX Alarms is operating under fraudulent circumstances. They have lied through every step of the process in which the contractual agreement was made.

I would never have signed the contract if I had not been told that I could cancel at anytime.

Is there an class action suit out there against Apx Alarm?

AUTHOR: Ard4881 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 02, 2008

I have contacted the Better Business Bureau of Utah...my contact was Brittany Brown. I was told that since I could not produce other information that they are closing my claim...(of course, I was never asked to produce further substantiation.) They also told me that I am "unwilling" to meet on middle ground with Apx. Since Apx used frauduent business practices to procur this "agreement", I don't feel like I"M getting any ground and that I'M not the person that is responsible for meeting their service promises. I would appreciate all others with a problem with Apx contacting the Brittany Brown at the Utah, BBB and the Attorney General of Utah. At the time of my agreement date, I was told that the Apx Alarm representative had been sent by my builder to check on my existing alarm system. Since I had contacted the builder concerning my alarm system, I believed they were a legitimate company. I signed the ageement with the representative stating that this is a "service agreement". Of course, Apx will not acknowledge that this is a "service agreement". If I do not need the service any longer, I should be able to cancel the service. I spoke with a girl named, Nancy, at their supposed home office. She told me that they have every intention of having me honor this agreement regardless of whether I still live a the residence.
