Aqua Pools and Spas Liars and Scam Artists Manteca, California

We had Aqua in my house to get pool quotes in February and during the initial meeting we explained that we would be getting a loan to pay for the pool as most people do. The sales Rep (Dave) said "no problem, I can give you our special pricing which is 12% off the price of the pool" When he came back two days later with the proposal, the price had risen $7,000 from what he initially said and NO SPECIAL. He said that since I was financing the pool they wouldn't give me the special.

Here is the best part, I would be paying 8.99% on the loan yet they claim they cant give the "special" cause they are taking on risk. I have a 760 credit score and have enough cash in the bank to pay for the pool twice.
It gets better, our neighbor was putting a pool in at the same time and was dealing with Aqua, after Dave left our house and said no special, he went to our neighbors and told them that he was going to give me the special to close the deal. Dave then called me the next day and said, sorry cant do it. I can only think that he told the neighbors that he would do it to get their sale and look like a good guy, when he had no intention of ever giving me the "special price"

Needless to say, Dave ended up loosing both pool deals cause he flat out lied to me. If your going to be a sales person dealing in a neighborhood, think twice about what you say, cause with a purchase as big as this, don't you think neighbors will talk.

We ended up going with (((competitor's name redacted))), we are so much happier, we were treated with respect and ended up getting more for our a lot money and a better pool.

We have a friend in Roseville who signed with Aqua 3 weeks before we signed with (((redacted))) and as I am writing this review, our pool is filling with water and our friends pool just got gunite and is probably 3 weeks from being completed.

To anyone who is thinking about putting a pool in with Aqua I urge you to speak with previous aqua customers and watch the CBS 13 Call Kurtis segment done about Aqua Pools. http://cbs13.com/consumer/Call.Kurtis.Top.2.1398085.html

Trust me from my own experience you will be much happier with (((redacted))) over Aqua.

 sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome.
