Luckily we were home at the time. One of the 3 containers that houses Aqua Safe's cartidges blew out on the bottom, rupturing underneath our kitchen sink and spewing out at least five gallons per minute.

We were able to shut off the water supply and clean up right away.  That was earlier this week.

I got to talk with their (maybe) 1-person customer-service team, and he told me "that doesn't happen very often, but sometimes in the summer when they're working on the system it can cause spikes in pressure."

I'm calling BS on that. This canister is almost 1/4" thick plastic, and at 40-50PSI for most residential public water supplies, this thing should NEVER fail.

He told me they couldn't find me in their computer system (also calling BS on that, as I've ordered the system and replacement filters from their eBay site on many occasions), and probably wouldn't replace it under warranty.  He still hasn't called me back, and I called again today and left a message requesting a return call and a decision.

I wonder how they would respond if there was $50k worth of damage because this thing blew out when nobody was home and we sued the pants off of them for defective merchandise, rather than simply requesting a replacement of a $10-$15 part?

If you're expecting prompt, professional, courteous service, at least you can show up at Lowe's or Home Depot or other home improvement store of your choice and at least get some recourse.
