I came down with food poisoning. Checked in on Wednesday got sick Friday early evening.

They called the paramedics had me hauled me to the Sedona Hospital on Saturday, Julia had said they would pay for the ambulance. I was discharged from the hospital, get back to a reasonably clean room about 5 hours later and 3 bags of Saline Solution. I asked who did the clean-up so I could give her a sizable tip later.  I asked a few people, but no one gave me an answer.

Monday morning 11am, the first really good sleep I'd had in 3-4 days, The General Manager wakes me up with a call, and tells me I have to leave. I called the non-emergency number and asked if that was legal. I still wasn't well enough to drive. Then a police officer came to my room to answer my question, he said in Arizona the lodging can be ripped away from you at anytime.

I spent the rest of Monday packing so I could find a place in Phoenix (Flagstaff Airport is Not disabled friendly). I called Avis at the Flagstaff Airport. The owner of Avis, Flagstaff called back in about 5 minutes. I told him what had happened at the ARABELLA Hotel in Sadona. He immediately offered a change of the auto return at Phoenix and waved the $200 charge that would normally be charged.

Then I called American Airlines, disabled and other needs department. Thanks to a wonderful lady she waived the very expensive change charges so I could leave from Phoenix instead of Flagstaff.

Tuesday morning I called the Hilton  in Phoenix by the airport and was given an amazing discount. You can always depend on Hilton to make everything turn around.  They pampered me.  I had food for the first time since the previous Thursday.  That's right, I didn't eat for 4.5 days.

I'm speechless that so many people stepped up and gave me my smile back. 10 stars for all the people who stepped up to help me.

NO STARS FOR Arabella Hotel in Sedona. Oh, the kicker is she added $650 to my bill due to the linens she claimed she had to throw away!! If I'd been at home I could wash them, just once, and they'd be as white as they were when I got there. She also lied. She claimed the Police Man had told her that I had been smoking weed in the room, but didn't arrest me because I showed him that I had a Medical Marijuana Card. I don't have one of those. So either she lied or the Policeman did. I don't believe the officer said anything like that to her.

I hate liars. I asked her if it felt good to kick an old sick dog, how does someone like that look in the mirror?
