ARC Canada or ARO Inc. Harassing phone calls regarding AMEX Card.....out of the blue after over 5 years? Burnaby, BC, Niagara Falls, Montreal, Vancouver, Quebec Canada

All of a sudden I start getting these calls from ARC Canada about a month ago and ARO Inc. today. The only info I was able to get from the caller was that it was a financial dealing with AMEX. I had defaulted on an AMEX card over 5 years ago due to being unemployed. The debt was written off and no further contact has been made since. Now I am being harassed daily, sometimes twice daily, sent email purchase offers by the dozens as harassment and never an explanation as to why or what they are after.

When first called, they ask who they are speaking to and until they here what they want, they tell you nothing. I have refused to acknowledge who they speak with, ignore their calls on my cell phone, have blocked as many of their calls as possible with Telus landline and above all else refuse to acknowledge any debt period. It appears that this outfit purchases or acquires delinquent bebt and then chases people to death to try and collect.

Do not under ant circumstance acknowledge who you are or what they are talking about as far as finances or any other personal information goes. The damage has been done to my credit rating and that is bad enough let alone having these bottom feeders try to drag you through the mud and get what ever they feel they can get.....nothing!! As far as I'm concerned, I have paid my debt through my credit rating; my credit score was always 750 to 800 for over 40 years. What ever you do, ignore these apes....silence is the best weapon here!
