Archie of AK Services 1800 Flowers none payment for delivery Melrose Park, Illinois

My boyfriend and I answered an ad on Craigslist to deliver flowers over Mothers Day weekend. It had a Melrose Park, Il location address. We went there and met a man who I am not naming to protect myself. He told us that we'd be paid $5.75 per delivery. I delivered 99 flowers. My boyfriend made 40. At no time did he tell us that he did not work for them, but that he was an outside vendor. He told us we'd be paid on 5/26. We went on that day, and our pay was wrong. Then, we were told that he is an outside vendor and we'd have to take it up with him.  There were people coming for their pay, and they had none at all. I spoke to him many times since then. He promised to pay, and texted me exactly dates he'd pay, but no pay. 1800 Flowers told me, and my lawyer, that it's our problem, they werent helping because he's an outside vendor. But, I have no last name for him. I tried a reverse phone look up, and no luck. ONe of his cell phones has a message saying a company name of some sort. I cant find a listing for that company. He told me that by getting a lawyer, I was ruining his reputation. He's doing that by himself by not paying people He texted me that he was going to call my lawyer with his lawyers info, and either myself or my lawyer would have to get the money from his lawyer. Well, that never happened. I have the forms from the Illinois Attorney General to file against him for non pay, but I have no address, etc for him. I explained the situation to the 1800 Flowers FB page, but they said, no luck, since they are all independant locations. Apparently, they dont care what kind of scam artists they hire to hire people to deliver flowers for them. My next step is to contact their CEO. I cant imagine they want all this bad publicity. If anyone knows of a way to help me recoupe our money I'd greatly appreciate it.
