I recently moved out of Forest Brooke Apts in Delaware, Ohio an Ardent Community. I did break my lease a month and half early. The manager there said "were changing the locks, someone else is moving in" thats all. She knew we were buying a house and I tried to make arrangements to leave early and it did not happen. 2 Months later! I get a restricted cell call, no voicemail, then my work phone rings. It was a guy named "TC" telling me "you broke your lease, you owe such and such amount of money but I'll lower it to this if you send me the money on a card over the phone right now, and this a court case so if you don't give me the money now we are going to court for the "full" amount" I was bawling the whole 20min he told me "You created this problem, now YOU have to fix it, thats all" "We did not create this problem, YOU did" "If you go to court your credit will be hit hard, we'll put a lean on your new house, and we'll garnish your wages" I freaked out, called my fiance who then called TC to ask how come we had not received any notices before this. TC would not let him talk and kept interrupting him and said if you don't shut up I will hang up on you so, my fiance hung up on him with no answer to our quesiton.
He then calls my work back, telling me "I knew this would happen, you fiance called all heated to make a new arrangement and I told him I would hang up if he didn't quit talking" I informed him (inbetween him cutting me off) that he was not trying to make a new arrangement but ask a question, and I said I have another question and TC says "I know all the questions your going to ask and I have answered all of them" "no, you dont I said I was going to ask why can't I make payments?" "well you can, in court he says, I was trying to make this go smooth but if you want to go to court we can and you'll wish 5 yrs from now that you had a parent, or grandparent help you pay this money off today" I then TRIED to ask again why I was never given any notice he said "your notice was signing the lease, we dont have to call you before taking you to court" I said "but.." and he goes "ma'am if you don't shut up I will hang up on you!!!!" So I hung up!
Anyhow, I'm definitely going to court 1.because I can't pay this amount in full and 2. I do not trust this TC at all!!!! Anyone else that reads this I would really like to do something about his rudeness and or, anyone feel free to go to court with me! I WILL be bringing this to the Judges attention, and I have printed all of your other complaints on him from this website.

From what I read TC does not have any right to conduct himself in such a manner regardless of what line of work he is in. you just simply don't speak to people that way he must have been picked on as a child or somethingand had some sort of resentment towards society. Ardent Property management had an F rating with the better business bureau!! AN F! With multiple complaints filed without response from the business clearly someone its not operating a customer friendly business model. The person who responded is obviously an employee of the company and does not understand the proper way to treat people nor does anyone the company

I am a ex tenant from a couple years ago.....YOUR story is the same as mine except I DID finish my lease and so did so many others on the we. With that being said:
Any Ardent Property Management ex tenants that were robbed and abused by TC or this company please email aquacandi@gmail.com. We have a group that we are getting together to take the next step against TC and Ardent Communities to show them we will not stand the abuse or the charges they are charging each tenant when they move out. Which is averaging $1k. I lived in a Ardent community for 2 years paid on time each month and they charges me over $1k to move out! They are now in the business of selling condos!!!! God help any individual that has children like me because now they are wanting $1k for damages they can't produce proof of and I even got pictures of them "cleaning" the carpets by Ravmor (the place that actually does their damage estimates and yet they charged me for NEW carpet!!! Please email me with your story or if you wanna join our already growing group we are around 15 strong and STILL growing!

I did not mean to sound so snippy about this ripoff report. I really do love my residents. Past & present. You are all individuals. We all make wrong choices and have to pay for them, including myself. I cannot and should not have spoken about T.C.'s moods. He may have been in an excellent mood the day you spoke with him for all I know. It is a fine line between making our residents happy and our owners happy. We strive to do both.

Hmmm...Did you forget to say we discussed a lease buyout when you bought your house and you decided rather than do that you would just move and continue to make your rent payment for the last few months of your lease?
You moved without a forwarding address, ignored all my calls, and failed to pay your rent. I gave you a final call and left a message that I had checked the apartment for occupancy and if you wanted anything that was left in there you should get it before we changed the locks. I listed you as a skip instead of an eviction because I had no address to deliver an eviction notice to.
I still had no response, so maintenance changed the locks, I called Dingess hauling to come and get all the trash you left in the apartment, and proceeded to get the apartment cleaned, painted and carpet done so I could re-rent it. I did not rent it until it was finished, and never told you I had.
T.C. does his job. He is in charge of collections from people like you and really has no reason to be nice about it since you are in the wrong and owe us the money. He does a lot of work tracking you down and it puts him in a pretty bad mood.
