Arm Alarm Unscrupulous Sales Tactics Cary North Carolina

Summation:  Intentionally misrepresented themselves, giving the impression they were  from ADT.  Ran a credit inquiry on me without my authorization.

Details of Event:  Unsolicited door-to-door salespersons from Arm Alarm were canvassing my neighborhood specifically targeting ADT customers.  Upon introducing himself, the rep gave every impression he  was from ADT.  However, 5-10 minutes into his pitch is when I discovered  he was not from ADT.  While he was delivering his sales pitch, he was also writing up a contract.  Upon presentation of the contract, is when I discovered he was not from ADT.  

Once I discovered who he was, I indicated I was not interested in their services and returned the contract - UNSIGNED.  Not to be deterred, unbeknownst to me, the rep texted his manager and asked him to come to my house for the purpose of convincing me to switch from ADT to Arm Alarm.  Once the manager arrived, both attempted to double team / strong arm me.  Their tactics failed. i told them I wanted to do more research on the company before making a decision to leave ADT. they continued to press me to make a decision.  Eventually, they conceded after I stated I would call them...stated purely to get them out of my home.

The very next day the rep shows up at my home, again.  Without letting him in, I informed him I was not interested.  He then began requesting to know the reason why.  I explained I had researched the company and could not find any positive reviews, only a negative review.  Ironically, the review is eerily similar to my encounter.

On Aug 11, I received an alert from Lifelock indicating this company had run a credit inquiry on me.  I did not authorize them to run a credit check.  I have notified Lifelock of the fraudulent activity, as well as my HOA concerning their activities in my neighborhood.
