I purchased a Panasonic AG-DVC200 from Armoato's a little under 90 days ago. It was sold to me as in working condition, which it was. When I took it home I found it had a dead pixel in the image. I returned the unit for repair, and they took it into their repair area to "mask" the pixel. I even left the tech a $10 tip for the effort. I looked at it and the pixel was still evident. Paul, the owner, told me you can never really get rid of it. Well enough. Now I find the fast forward and rewind buttons work, but only while it previews the tape. In other words, it does not run in FF or REW without the tape rubbing on the surface of the heads. I had an independent video tech look at it and told me it may have to do with the logic. He also found a black mark on the tape head. I called Paul at Armato's, and he also told me it was a logic issue. I asked him if he was aware that it was a problem before selling it and he said no. He also told me he checked the camera for dead pixels before selling it (untrue, since I sent it in for that same issue).

I jokingly asked him "I guess I'm stuck with it huh", to which he replied "sorry buddy, he-he" then hung up on me. I was willing to have it repaired, but Paul said doing so may uncover or create bigger problems, so he strongly advised against it. I don't think the $750 price was a fair amount to charge for a camera advertised as "in working order with no issues". Had I known, I would have either not purchased or negotiated a lower price.
