I purchased the Arnott - Bilstein front replacement shocks for my 2001 Audi allroad. I had previously purchased the GEN II air spring setup and was happy with the results. The shocks, however, were a completely different matter.
After installation by an Audi mechanic, the shocks literally rattled at any hint of a small bump in the road and bounced down the road at any larger bump or undulation. I was so disappointed. These shocks are dangerous in my vehicle. I have read about many other dissatisfied pruchasers of the replacement front shocks for the allroad in the forums.
Stay away from this product - the shocks are a RIPOFF.

Replacement Shock

Arnott did send me a replacement for a faulty shock that was originally supplied. The front end now performs much better. I did however suffer the financial cost of the labour to install the second shock.

We have sold literally thousands of sets of these with very few returns or complaints. We would be very interested in working with you to correct your issue. Since Arnott aftermarket replacement parts are typically installed on older vehicles, sometimes there are other suspension problems that surface or maybe there was an issue with the installation since it involves transfering the air spring which does require some force to remove. The Arnott Bilstien shocks are not Original Equipment shocks but we do have a lot of experience with the vehicle and we offer free technical support.
