The truth came out!

Here is the chronology of events in this matter:

I did pay Jaki 2k to fix bugs with a pagelines/wordpress website for me back in 2014, which was initially created the other developer whom he alludes to; however Jaki never did the work he was hired to do, instead, he caused my site even worse damage by breaking components which had worked previously, which he then demanded more money to fix, along with the still uncompleted tasks he was initially hired for. All Jaki did actually do for me was to take my site and port it over to another hosting company, which was not something I asked for, and was completely unnecessary and time consuming. Unfortunately this rendered it a broken and unstable shell, and Jaki ate up so many hours with this, he simply "ran out of time". I petitioned Discover Card for my money back, after over 5 months of hell dealing with issues Jaki caused, and wondering why he wasn't able to fix the problems with the site I had hired him to fix. I documented in exquisite detail all of this, which is why Discover ultimately honored my request and returned my money to me.

Since then, Jaki has repeatedly threatened to take me to small claims court to recover my money that he feels entitled to, a threat which to date has not occurred—he initially made this threat back in August. He has also continued to contact me over email, phone, and SMS text, making threats and attempting to intimidate me, as recently as last week. He has also posted to Yelp, claiming I ripped him off.  A listing on Yelp for my studio was created for just this purpose. Both Jaki and the previous developer who left me in the lurch also successfully petitioned Yelp to have my reviews of their companies taken down, because they claim I am a competitor of theirs, which violates Yelp's TOS/Content guidelines. I am re-posting my review of Jaki's firm here.

Jaki has consistently tried to take pot shots at me which contradict his pretense of personal integrity, for instance saying I'm "divorced" and "unemployed", both of which are untrue—(I actually was divorced in 1998, but I was married far too young. We are still friends to this day, however, in case you were judging me). The truth is that Jaki has never been able to own up to what really happened, and he has lied out of his teeth to attempt to make me the one at fault for what has already been proven to be his negligence and unprofessionalism. If this were not the case, I would not have been granted a charge-back on his "services", after several attempts by him to overturn the final decision of Discover Card, which was made only after examining all the facts and evidence—twice.

In short, I've done nothing of what this man claims. In fact, what actually happened is the opposite - after paying me and my company $2000 for services (on January 21st, 2014) , he petitioend his credit card company claiming fraud. His credit card company complied, and he received the money he paid me. 

I have not posted anything about him on RipOffReport, I have not contacted his daughter (I can't even imagine how I'd do that), and I have not setup any fake profiles about his business. I have better things to do with my time.

I've been told to stay silent and not respond - what I am doing right now is the equivalent of "feeding the trolls" - nonetheless, it's important to set the record straight.

Daniel Sean Ross, the person who posted this report uses Yelp and other review sites to harass business owners and to try to get his way. Before coming to me and my business, Sean Ross (owner of DSR Studios) worked with TWO other web development companies.

He was also "burned" by both of those businesses as well. Apparently, the other two companies were so tired of this guy's antics, they did what I did - they stopped responding to him. When he finally came to me with his website woes, I was sympathetic and gaveh him the benefit of the doubt. He was going thru a divorce, was unemployed and told me he was burned by other developers. I should have known better. 

Now, when a client comes to me about a previously bad experience, I contact their previous developers to hear the developer's side of the story. Daniel Sean Ross' previous developers all had horrific experiences dealing with this him.

After months of working with him, I walked away and refused to deal with him anymore. Since then Sean has setup fake yelp accounts, and used those fake accounts to re-post reviews about my business, as well as the other businesses he did work with.

Someone else - not me - got so mad at Sean Ross, they posted this report on RipOffReport about him, and his abusive online behavior. Again - that report was not posted by me.
