ARS Service Express - ARS Heating & Plumbing Negligent yearly maintenance cost me hundreds of dollars due to water damage Austin Texas

ARS has done maintenance on my AC/furnace twice a year for the past 2 going on 3 years. Not once in any of those checks was I asked or told about an AC drainage pipe. Didn't know it existed and that you can take measures to help keep this drainage pipe/hose clear, especially during the summer when the AC is used most.

Last week, one of my bathrooms that had the AC drainage hose (that no one told me about) clogged, backed up and flooded my bathroom. This should have been in the yearly maintenance and could have been prevented. Now I have hundreds of dollars worth of water damage to the cupboards underneath the sink (they are ruined), water damage to tile floor and water damage to carpet. It also appears that the water has seeped thru the ceiling and I am furious.

You pay these people to maintain your home/condo twice a year to not have these things happen. So not only am I out the money for the yearly contract but money for the plumber to fix a hose that I knew nothing about. He seemed dumbfounded that no one had told me about this hose or how to keep the hose clear when you ran your AC almost all the time which we do in TX.

Now to top it off, now comes the incredible amount of money it is going to take to fix that bathroom. When a simple cup of bleach and the simple knowledge that the hose existed is all it would have taken. A few extra minutes from these people. Do not ever use this company - they will rob you blind and not do the job correctly, making it so you have to call them for a return visit and more money.

Completely enraged by the treatment I have received from ARS since this has happened. I'm supposed to be a plumber by trade and know that that hose was the AC drainage - it's my fault according to ARS.
