The Art Institutes are part of Education Management Corporation (EDMC). This company advertises on the internet and television promising accredited degrees with financial aid. The information provided in the brochure, handbook, and by the recruiters at college fairs is misleading. Students are told, towards the end of their chosen program that they will need more classes to obtain the degree due to changes in the program.

A program advertised as three years will take up to four and half years to complete. The recruiters are paid to get the students to be admitted to classes and after the first week, ignore the students and get started on the next set of incoming students. The accreditation is not what it is advertised to be, the credits obtained do NOT transfer between programs at the schools, and definitely not to other schools.
