ArtCarved / Balfour WILL NOT HONOR WARRANTY Austin, Texas

Purchased my Art Carved (which is now Balfour for college rings) class ring when I earned my BA back in 2001. I paid about 1000.00 dollars for my ring and I wear it daily. I was told that when I get my next highest degree, my Masters, I would be able to pay a small fee and have them remake the ring. This was part of the warranty and is good for the life of the ring.

2012, I am finally achieving my MSCJ. I called to see about getting my ring remade and was told that designs have changed and that I can no longer have that option. ???? Really? Because you changed something, I suffer? I was told they would allow me 250.00 towards trade in and that would be all they could do.

I was shocked! This is an icon for achievement and this experience has just put a damper on it all. They will not honor what they offered at time of purchase.

Jostens has offered 500.00 trade in value. It is better. But I am still very unhappy with Balfour. Back then, I paid about 75 dollars per gram of 14K. You would think they got me on the price once, they would honor this.

Go to Jostens, stay away from this company.
