Artistic Stone, Co. Marc Colette He paved our driveway and installed a stonelike finish that has cracked and refuses to honor the warranty or even call us back. Jupiter, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Florida

In January of 2010, we hired Marc Collette, owner of Artistic Stone, Co.(of Jupiter, Florida) to pave our driveway and finish it with a layer of concrete that was died and shaped to look like stones. Our neighbor had discovered Mr. Collette and was having his existing driveway overlaid also. Mr. Collette took us to visit a couple of his nearby projects. He presented himself in a friendly & promising manner.

We gave Mr Collette a complete & detailed scope of work and asked him for his best price. He present us a quote for $13,000. Of course he promised we'd love the final product and that he was all about customer service. He gave us a handwritten 3 year warranty. Mr. Collett said he new exactly what we wanted.

There were issues with workmanship during construction. Mr. Colette actually had the nerve to say "What did you expect for $13,000?" I told him that I asked for a quote to do the job correctly, never did I ask for him to do less than quality work for the price quoted. With much anguish and stress, Mr. Collette "fixed" the majority of our complaints. After the work was "completed", we repeatedly asked for a receipt. To date we have not received a receipt. We asked about having the driveway sealed. He said it would look better not sealed, but to give it a little while and he would seal it for us, for an additional charge, after the stains completely dried and reacted to the sunlight. This led us to believe he would return when requested.

Our driveway has faded to the point of almost no color. The overlay has shattered and crumbled in almost 25% of the overlaid area and there are many structural cracks. Our neighbor has similar issues. After more than 10 phone calls and messages (with no response). Mr. Marc Collette refuses to acknowledge we exist.

We were ripped off!
