I have heard horror stories of banks attempting to embezzle people's cash deposits, $20,000, $10,000 so on at Bank One, they attempted to do that to me as well in 1998. I had very carefully kept my receipt. Even with that, though the mannager had stood by me while depositing it, she later attempted to tell me she didn't know where it went? I reminded her that security camaras would show my deposit along with my receipt at the bank so she came up with the funds. Other people told similar stories later on to me but some had no receipt and lost it to them.
Arvest Bank did the VERY same thing! Do NOT bank with the banks that offer FREE CHECKING! It is NOT free, they make up for it by victimizing you with EXCESSIVE insufficient fund fees, looking for ANY and all reasons to charge you late fees warrented or not.
They will attempt to use the old knowledge that MOST PEOPLE DON'T SAVE THEIR DEPOSIT RECEIPTS (As Samantha Counts explained to me when attempting to shuff off the seriousness of the Shawnee Arvest Bank telling me they did not get my $1,100.00 deposited into my account, that I would have to come up with a receipt). I told her I HAD MY RECEIPT! Samantha pretended to be glad I had it, asked for a number from it and put the funds into my account telling me some 'machine' malfunctioned and didn't copy the transaction. Ya right! What bank doesn't record their deposits? They planned to swindle me out of my cash deposit.
When I covered my account due to an error on another bank's information while it was STILL pending, Arvest felt it a good time to 'punish' me for saving my receipt the previous couple of weeks before hand and depriving me of stealing my funds. The Karrie Harrington RISK, power mad Dr. Strange LUCK decided to use that as an excuse to lock down my personal account along with my husband's account right after he received his direct deposit payment into the account.
Our payments were going back to the institutions we were paying online and by check, automatic withdrawl, etc even though the funds were in our accounts.
There is no other good reason for this banking institution to undermine our accounts. This was a deliberate act of revenge upon me and my spouse because I caught them attempting to steal my cash deposits and offered to expose the person doing it. I had suggested at the time that they watch the woman more carefully that didn't record my large cash deposit, not realizing they were all in on it, that is was common procedure.
I was told that MANY people banking at ARVEST BANK was being taken for their cash deposits that these banks slipped under the rug. These poor people did not know what to do, where to complain, what their rights truly were and walked away empty handed because they had not kept their receipt. The bank personnel made them belive it was their fault, not the bank's. What could they do?
Arvest Bank, hear me now. YOUR KINGDOM IS GOING TO FALL! You are cheating people, abusing them, as you harassed me, hurt me, attempted to steal my funds, my husband's funds, victimize us as you have victimized many others!
I will tell EVERY ONE who will listen! DO NOT BANK AT ARVEST BANK! I will tell them what you did to me, I know MANY PEOPLE and business owners! You will regret the arrogant, insensitive remarks you made to me Samantha Counts, Karrie Harrington and Teresa Cheeks. Such fake names for fake people though I know Karrie's name is real. Funny, her husband's name is Terri. No doubt they named their daughter a name that rhymed with their own such as Sherri.
Avoid this bank at all costs. They are like a hungry lion looking for prey. They will circle you until they find a time you aren't expecting it and pounce on you, devour your hard earned money. BEWARE!
