ASA College Rip Off College - full of bullies, teachers who discriminate & coaches who allow teammates to bully other and use drugs!!!!! New York New York

 ASA College is a complete rip off!!!  My child was recruited by a coach for a 1st year team the school was establishing.  This was also the coaches first year working at the college as the previous college he worked for fired him for inappropriate conduct reported by a student he was coaching, which was not disclosed to our family.  The coach talked a good talk; however, when it came down to it, the coach was terrible.  Allowed my child to be bullied by other teammates, then blamed my child for physical altercations when my child had to defend self when being threatend with physical harm and then attached!!!!  The coach cursed at the team, put them down, etc.  Thank goodness my child could defend self!!! Not only that.. we brought all forms to the college upon my childs admission.. EVERYTHING on their checklist was completed!!!!!!!  We were told all financial data was set!!!!  NOW, my child got out of that dump of a college and we cannot get a god damned transcript as they say we did not pay a $25.00 application fee!!! and a $250.00 dorm fee.. which we were told was part of her full tuition/fees/books scholarship!!!!  To BOOT.. the teacher/instructors my child had at the Manhattan campus did not follow any curriculum.. did not follow any text from the books my child got (thank goodness they were part of scholarship funds).. and when teachers gave quizes and exams, my child had no guideline to study from since there was not curriculum or outline!!!!  My child did end the semester with a 3.8 GPA.. which is a JOKE!!!  Also, my child was a minority in the classes attended at the Manhattan campus (which was not a big deal.. until....) and had to sit through hours of students discussing how 'white people' discriminate against black people.. and god forbid my child looked at anyone or responded to this discrimination.. All hell would have broke loose!!!  It's a scary school, with terrible teachers, coaches who treat their athletes terribly!!  As well, the 'dorm' my child lived in has SEVERAL problems!!! #1, there was NO security!!!  I was told there would be security at the door minimally on the weekends.. there was NEVER a security guard.. NEVER!!!  The apartment on the upper east side went three days without power because the school didn't pay the bill!!!  All occupants food spoiled with no reimbursements!!!  One coach (from another team) did bring flashlights and pizza one evening to get through).  The apartment had major water leaks in the hallway of the apartment and in some of the bedrooms, rats, bugs, anyone off the street could walk into the building at any time.. all athletes had keys to all apartments and would enter other athletes apartments without permission.. bully them and steal their food!!!  There was no assistance to stop the bullying and harrassment.. mainly becuase my child was moving on and the bullies were staying on the team.  The school got one of the international students deported 1/2 way through the season.. the issues with this college are NEVER ENDING!!!!!!!!!  Although my child and our family took a chance at an opportunity for my child to play in a NJCAA D1 International team.. i have to say it was NOT WORTH all the issues my child dealt with and we continue to deal with!!!! This college is a JOKE, SCAM, RIP OFF and every other negative adjective you can think of.. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
