I bought from a company (In Brea) what I was lead to believe was one brand of DVR for my Wendy's client, I had it drop shipped to our tech in Florida to install, it was installed & seem to work. I bought another one on Tuesday, for another client & had it shipped to me so that I could package it with other items to ship to Boston only to find it was not what I bought, so I called my client in Florida and ask them to text me a picture of what was installed at the site only to find that it was not what I ordered, it was a different DVR altogether?

 

I called the vendor to complained that I had been the victim of a bate & switch, I was told that even if the DVR was not the same one that I ordered it had the same specs, and that they  didn't stock what I picked on their site, so they replaced it, with another brand? REALLY and that was ok with them?

The cost to me was approximately $1500 for the both DVR's and another $300.00 to have it installed, now I am going to have to by two units from someone else and ship it to the client, have it installed by a tech at another cost of approximately $300.00. I also have to by another unit and ship it to Boston ASAP for a project that I am working on now.

I sent this email to the owner of the company "Disappointed would be an understatement. If I don't get a call in the morning either making arrangements to get the DVR's that you & I talked about (I have all of our email correspondences even the one of me asking for the price & you giving me a price for the DV-EF9619) or a complete refund, I am going to do a few things starting tomorrow, 1. Call my bank they have fraud protection & will take the money out of your account, 2. file a complaint with the California Attorney's office (You don't want that) They will contact & investigate this to see if there any other like complaints against ASAP, 3. list ASAPCCTV with Ripoffreport.com and post all of our emails to show what I wanted vs. what I got, 4. I am a member of all of the major industry groups in the security industry, so I will send a letter to each warring other members of the behavior of ASAPCCTV,5. I will put one of my staff on the task of reviewing ASAPCCTV, on every available site, Google, yelp, Facebook, Linkin, etc. I will get the word out.  And last I am copying our attorney on this email, so that he will be prepared to start litigation if necessary, you will have a letter in your email from him by 5 pm tomorrow in your email if I don't hear from you, at that point any settlement will go up to cover his fees.

It is not ok in this country to sell one thing and substitute it for something in its place, even if the specs are the same as your tech person told me you did, that's called a bate & switch and it's illegal in California & the prevailing party of any litigation has a right to its attorney's fees, so in the end you will pay for the cost of any litigation I chose to bring.

You called and complained about wrong product shipped to you as in the above invoice yesterday. You then hung up on our senior technician, Raymond and he left for the day.

Since your salesperson who took the order, George is on an Overseas Business Trip right now, we have done some researches and found that we have shipped what you paid for two(2) months ago, on 9-10-2013, Fedex tracking# 051218015000401. We have also emailed you a copy of the invoice on 9-11-2013 and 9-16-2013 for your reference. We have also checked that we shipped the correct product associated with the correct price.

We will let your salesperson to know about your complain without any delay as soon as he is back to the USA.

It was not until I filed a complaint with the California attorney general's office and had our attorney send a letter threating litigation, that I got a call from ASAP Technology and this responce"

Thank you for the tele-conversation between your good self and our salesperson, George held this morning.

As requested, you want us to credit your recent order placed on 11-04-2013, invoice# 13110412, $652.50 and you have also asked us for a FedEx call tag.

As our courtesy and support to you, we have honored your request and have credited your Master Card xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-4011 for a full amount of $652.50 as charged in invoice# 13110412.  We have also arranged FedEx Ground call tag to go to your address as follows to pick up the item tomorrow, 11-13-2013, from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. As agreed in the tele-conversation, please have the package ready for pick up during the window time. Please return the item in its original and good working condition with all necessary accessories and packaging. If you have to leave the office, please have your shipping department or your Secretary to get the package ready for pick up. Thanking you in advance.

Notice how their tone changed, eventually we were refunded for one DVR, we had to pay a tech to go back out and get the other DVR out of the client's building that we installed it in, as of this writing we have not been reinbursed, and we can't sell it to one of our client's because we don't sell cheap equipment to our client's DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! yOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU BUY FORM THEM. It may be subsituted for something else without your knowledge, they are petty crooks, and you will have issues getting your money back.
