ASAP towing was contracted to remove vehilcles without a permit from our aptartment complex. A visitor of ours was parked and ASAP began towing their vehicle. We were right there and explained that we would just move it and the company refused. They proceeded to bring the vehilce onto the flatbed.
I spoke to the owner and explained that not only was it the visitors birthday, but she had recently had a heart attack and was trying to retrieve her car and get their attention in below freezing weather (27 degrees). Which poses a great risk to a person after a heart attack. The owner verbally agreed to drop the car right there for the cash price of $100 stating, "you give me a hundred dollars and I will drop the car."
I told him I would go get the money out of the apartment and I ran all the way there and by the time I got back (less than one minute) he refused to drop the car and had already begun loading another car behind ours. He lashed out at our guests and was extremely rude to our guests. Stating, "He did not have to do anything he did not want to do." The owner and his employees were laughing and muttering under their breath.
There is a written contract plus the verbal contract he gave me that they have to drop the car for cash and he violated that legal contract. The owner had no compassion or care for other human beings. He thought is was funny that a woman's health was in great danger. This man is a very depraved, corrupt, and immoral human being. Consumer warning: do not do business with this man, he does not abide by legal contracts and has no respect for the sanctity of human life.

This matter was just brought to our attention via this website. The other side of the story is as follows, Our contract is with the apartment complex. This particular complex notified their tenants that all vehicles without the proper sticker would be towed between the hours of 7pm and 7am. The aparment complex also posted the required signs and provided a visitor parking area. Any guests after 7:00pm would be required to park in the visitors parking lot. Our procedure as far as unhooking a vehicle is left up to the descretion of the driver. This particular vehicle would have been unhooked for the owner at the owner's request. The mitigating factor in this is our driver was then approached by 3 other relatives and was cursed at and then threatened to sue the company. It is our policy that if a driver is concerned for his welfare while doing his job, and the vehicle is already hooked, he is to leave the vehicle hooked and proceed to leave. This could have been avoided if the owner had parked the vehicle in the lot and then the tenant could have driven her to the apartment if there was a health concern. The person that went to get the money was not present during the verbal attack on our driver and therefore we feel she is wrong for reporting this unfortunate incident to this website.

that there is a sign there saying something to the effect of :
"No Parking. Violators Towed"
I'm also guessing that your friend saw the sign, but decided to park anyway. Bad Move.
