Ashley Sinkler advertised a 2008 Nissan Maxima for sale for $2,000. We found the listing on our local Craigslist, but we live in WV, and she said she lives in Omaha NE. Supposedly her sister put it on our Craigslist, and then gave us "Ashley's" email address, and told us she was her sister, and we needed to contact Ashley via email.

She sent us a link to use.com, which had 80+ pictures of this pristine car. She told us that several people were interested in the car, but she was glad it could go to someone like us. I got on eBay motors, and checked the item number, and it said that it had been removed, but she said it was because she had already told them that we were the buyers, so they had removed the car.

It seemed too good to be true, but she said she was using eBay to protect our money, and ease our mind that it wasn't a ripoff. EBay was supposed to ship the car to us, at her expense, once we bought 4 pre-paid visas for $500 each. She told us that she told eBay we were the buyer, and gave us a number for "eBay" to call and give them the numbers from the Visa cards. Once they had the numbers for the $2,000, they were supposed to ship the vehicle with clear title, and all documents. She even gave us the VIN number, and we checked, the car booked at 8,600.... But she was selling through eBay, so it had to be safe, right? WRONG!!!!

Her story was that she just got divorced, and just wanted to get rid of the car for a fresh start. We called the number she gave us, to double-check that it was legit before giving them access to money. The man who answered the phone wouldn't even talk to my husband until he had the Visa numbers ready to give him. That is when I did a quick Google search for miss Ashley Sinkler. It seems like we are not the first ones who she has tried to sale the SAME EXACT CAR to!!!

I called the number back, and asked the SAME MAN, who answered again, if he had heard of your website, and he immediately hung up. Tried to call from my cell phone, seconds later, and it rang forever, with no answer. I don't think that eBay would ignore phone calls!

Thank you ripoffreport.com for saving us $2,000!!!!
