I parked on shallow stone st, Las Vegas not blocking any ones driveway not on a red painted curb. My car is currently registered. Per the HOA rules residents can park in the street for 24hrs. nothing is mentioned regarding vistor parking areas or vistor stickers required. License plate numbers were not requested for the residents in the community. In less than 12 hrs my car was towed from across the street, No warning sticker. The towing company did not answer the phone. My car was parked at 8:05pm and towed by 6am. Along with my boyfirends car he will follow a seperate complaint. Across the street from where I parked there is a fire hydrant I did not block that either. I am a part time resident of the community and follow the posted rules. There was no sign mentioning I will be towed if I park in that spot. There is no guest parking area.

Oh here is the rule buried in the rules and regs

AUTHOR: JoAnne - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, November 28, 2011

The HOA rule says you can park in the street for 24hrs and then it states buried in the regulations; no overnite parking. States you can park for 24hrs but not overnite. That is not possible therefore should not be valid. The president of the HOA was notified by the homeowner after a warning sticker was placed on one of the cars of the residents a few weeks ago. He was told it was ok on the street as long as it was not more than 24hrs. Today he knocked on her door and she stated "oh, a warning sticker was previously placed on the vehciles and they are fair game"

Just spoke with the towing company and I was told there is no on street parking at all. I told hin I have a copy of the HOA rules and it says right in there you can park on the street for 24hrs if you are a resident. I offerred to show him. He said  had to pay $213.00 and had to take it up with the HOA. In other words It does not matter I did nothing wrong!
