AskPCExperts (APE) are an on-line internet computer Help Desk. I use an email handler service named IncrediMail and have used them for approximately 10 years, On 09/14/2015 a message from IncrediMail (?) appeared on my computer screen asking if I was having any problems with Windows on my computer and provided an 1-800 number to call which was my first mistake. I was put into contact with a representative from AskPCExperts (APE) and answered some question concerning issues with my computer. I do not know if AskPCExperts and IncrediMail are business associates or not, but I do not believe at this point that they are connected .. but they may be. To date, I have unable to talk (phone or email) to anyone at IncrediMail to find this out. Long story short. I signed up for a (2) year service for a special rate/deal/etc for $299.00. with APE
AskPCExperts(APE) took control of my computer and probably worked via remote control for well over an hour and half. The tech started deleteing some of my programs such as Hit Man Pro (virus detector and removal program) which I paid a lot of money for and replaced it without my permission with MalWareBytes-AntiMalware which after a trial period I was queried about paying for it. They also removed another on-line computer Help Desk Program (MTG) which I had active and installed on my computer and which I had for several years and paid a lot of money for. The specific problems that I had originally outlined with APE are still there. Probably about a week after my APE service started, I received a 1-800 call from APE as a follow-up to see how my computer was working.... I told the APE rep that all of my concerns were still active and unresolved he assured me that I could call anytime and have the problems resolved in a very few minutes. I have attempted to contact them but without success. AskPCExperts (APE) appear to be an on-line scam and you should BEWARE.
