Aspire Credit Card has struck again! This worthless company reports me to the credit bureau saying that I owe them $1400.00. I have no balance with them. I paid them off over 3 years ago. They show on my credit report that the account was closed at my request which was not the case. I got a letter saying that my account was closed one week after they closed it.

I tried contacting their customer service number and talked to the rudest lady in ever. She was clueless, told me that they havent received a payment for Jan 2010 and so they have charged me $39.00 for being late. Well that's news to me since I paid you off 3 years ago. How can I use a charge for purchases that has been closed? Why has it taken you 3 years to contact me about a outstanding $1400.00 balance? I'm still at the same address with the same contact information but yet this just shows up on my credit report on 2/17/10 but Aspire says they cant answer those questions.

I receive a letter yesterday from Aspire dated 2/12/10 stating that their records show that my payment(s) have been misapplied but have since been applied to my account and all applicable fees have been waived.

I am so sick of Aspire I dont know what to do. With all the complaints from people from almost everywhere in the USA why hasnt the Federal Trade Commission done anything to correct all the damage this company has done to a person's credit? I'm familiar with the class action suit filed by former Gov. Spitzer but that was several years ago and obviously is yesterday's news.

If anyone has any other information about Aspire like filing another class action lawsuit, please contact me and let me know as I'm definitely in.
