in april 2006 i refinanced my house at that time all my credit cards were paid (may 12th 2006, . i told aspire card i wanted the card closed and my balance was 0. i had cut the card up in early april when i began to refinace my house so the card could not be used. i was told the account would be closed. a few weeks later i checked and they had me oweing additional 9.00 which ther eis no way i could owe as the card had not been used.

i complained and fussed but eventually paid the $9 they then charged me $4.95 more for the payment. i paid another $9 and demanded the acct be closed as of the end of may my balance was 0.00. yet on june 1st i was shown oweing 16 cents. i called and demanded this be cleared they told me if i didnt pay they would tur it over to the cresit bureau. i then paid $1 instead of clearing this they now have me oweing $3.95 it is a never ending cycle. please help.

Although my records indicate the outanding balance on this account is $3.95, I have enclosed a check in the amount of $6.00 which should cover any incidental fees.

Please send me written confirmation that this account has a zero balance and the date the account was closed. Additionally, include proof that you've complied with section 623(a)(4) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act by reporting this account as "closed by consumer" to the national credit bureaus.

Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions concerning this matter I can be reached at (insert daytime phone number and area code)
