Asplundh Tree Expert Company, region 44 management railroaded after 15 years, no loyalty newcastle Maine

 After 15 years of employment, I was fired because of a forestors personal problem with me. I was not even allowed to attend the meeting to defend myself. I can't believe that a supervisor that would come out and smoke dope with his employees and used to do that type of work would sell his guys down the river because some uppity forestor threatened to shut down crews if he didn't ( by the way, he laid off crews anyways several weeks after). The forestor is an idiot that on more than one occasion has put Asplundh employees lives in danger. Just because he has that degree, doesn't mean that he knows the first thing about tree work and how to perform it safely. He made an experienced tree man remove a tree that he was advised twice was unsafe to remove at that time, and sure enough, it ripped down a single phase line. The tree guy then was ordered by Asplundh management not to mention the forestors name.

I myself was ordered by the forestor to remove a downed tree from a live 7.5 kv line in the pouring down rain, with no safety gear to protect myself. It was not calling him out on these issues however that got me let go, I believe it was far more petty than that. He constantly brought up my tattoos, and didn't like any one that didn't fit his yuppie dress code. I was told about a month before I was let go that I was on his #%*& list. When he could not find cause for Asplundh to get rid of me, he fabricated one. I was falsely accused of falsifying paper work which I have twice proved them wrong on in unemployment hearings. I just can't believe how cowardly the management in region 44 is. They are so scared of this pee on forestor that they sell out loyal employees without cause, just because he says too. I would never work for such a low down bunch of yellow bellied cowards again. That's not to say Asplundh on a whole is a bad company to work for, its just a couple of the higher UPS in region 44 that have made this region a horrible, hostile place to work. All in all I am glad that it happened because I was able to go back to school on their dime and now have a much better career with a much better future. I would like to personally thank M.L, T.K and R.G for making that possible. I Just want you three to keep in mind that life has a way of coming back on people. I'm just glad I won't be working there to see it, but I'm sure I will hear about it.
