ASSET ACCEPTANCE unfair~~ trying to garnish wages after 4 years of paying, just 4 being a month late WARREN Michigan

I have a problem with Asset Acceptance, and I am not sure what to do....back in 2004 they sued me for a credit card that I don't recall ever having.... I missed the original court date, due to my Uncle passing away, so I made a new one, in the beginning if 2005. I did make it to that court date, however never going to court before, I did not know what to expect.

After standing in front of the judge, explaining that I do not remember ever having a credit card with Providian, it really got me nowhere, so I made an agreement to pay $50.00 a month. (basically got railroaded into this agreement)

Now after all this time I have been making the payments..... I missed last month, so today I called to pay last month and this month bill... and they told me "no, that they are going to go after the entire amount, that they originally sued me for"... mind you that I have been paying since the beginning of 2005.
After reading all the post on them(asset acceptance) ripping people off... now I feel like I may have been ripped off too.... But, I am more worried about them suing me for the entire amount, even the money I have already paid, can they do that? Now that I am close to being paid off?

I don't think this is fair... we are in a recession after all.. I am a single mother, just barely getting by! I hope someone can help me!!!Thank you for your time!!
