Asurion - T-Mobile RIPPED OFF BY T-MOBILE and ASURION Fort Lauderdale Florida

I have 5 phone lines with T-Mobile. In Sept. 08 I purchased a Sidekick 2008 and another phone on two lines that were eligible for upgrade discounts. I specifically ask the customer service rep to make sure insurance was added when I called in to activate the phones. One of these was a brand new line that I added. The Sidekick was bought under one number, but used under another line on my plan. Now, 3 mos. later my daughter loses her phone and when I filed an insurance claim, T-Mobile tells Asurion that I have no insurance.

I phoned T-Mobile and she saw where I purchased the phone and bought insurance on it under another number. But she says because it was bought under another number, it wasn't covered, that the insurance goes with the phone number it was purchased under. She also informed me that the phone on the brand new added line had no insurance even though I specifically added it and knew that I had. But of course no proof, their word against mine and it has been longe than 14 days so they won't add it now.

To top it all off, I gave my old Blackberry Pearl to my daughter and they inform me that she had insurance on that phone even though it was originally activated and used under my number.

I phoned Asurion back and told them what happened and that it was obvious I bought insurance on the Sidekick 2008 when it was purchased. They told me it was between me and T-Mobile and won't do a thing about it. They said T-Mobile had to make it right on the insurance before they could cover it!

Sounds to me that they like to keep people caught in the middle with two companies and not enough information to make an informed decision!! This is the second time I have had to pay out the nose for new phones after thinking I had insurance!!

Any class action lawsuits out there???
