At Cost Flights Way To Fly, Deceptive Practices, Charges $406 fee for $839 ticket price, Passive Agressive agents, Internet

I booked a flight for my wife to visit her home overseas. My wife found a company online "At Cost Flight" (aka: Way To Fly) that offered the RT ticket for $839. We were told there were two on-board bags allowed and check-in bags would be an additional charge. We were also told that they may add an Exit Tax of $12.50 - $25, which isn't unheard of in some countries so I agreed. I was told the conversation was being recorded so I was very careful in clarifying charges and extras.

What I was billed was much higher. They billed me a fee nearly half of the ticket. An EXTRA charge was placed on my card for $406 which I am now having to dispute with my credit card company. My agent promised to give me credit but he did not. He promised me a refund but he did not. He said he would try to have the company dismiss the charges but he did nothing. I had to go to the credit card company and dispute the $406. charge with the hope the company will come forth with the "recorded" sales conversation. Bottom line is my wife intends to take the flight.

I fully expect the travel company to do something devious and I will deal with that should it materialize. Consumers should be warned! Refuse to deal with such deceptive business practices and cease and desist doing business with C&H International(somehow connected since they are the ones who charged my card the extra $), WayToFly, and At Cost Flight. It seems they all operate together in a rather clandestine fashion under the tax radar but that is just my perception. I'm not even sure any  longer that they have a legal right to operate online and in the state of California, from where they appear to be located.

I wish I could attach the link they sent to confirm my flight. In an email they send a link to confirm the ticket with a copy of the confirmation letter in "thumbnail" size to the left of the link. The link takes me directly to the signature line and I don't get the entire letter in readible size until after I sign. Then, and only then, do I see the extra charge. I call immediately (<24 hours) to dispute. They tell me the letter I provided my electronic signature says I can't dispute charges! Their word means nothing at that point. BE CAREFUL AND JUST AVOID THIS MAFIAISTIC PRACTICE! THEY ARE EVIL!
