At Home Rewards (www.athome-rewards.com) charged me for membership fees which I did not sign up for. I was checking my credit card statment and found these erroneous charges. The company's toll free number (800-511-0046) was listed on my credit card statement so I gave them a call. The representative I spoke with insisted that I had signed up through a Wal-Mart offer. Since I hadn't made any charges on my credit card for many months I explained to the rep that I had not made these charges and was going to contact my credit card company immediately. He actually became very pleasant and assured me that these charges would be taken off within 2 business days - he gave me his name and ID# for reference (of course that could have been fraudulent as well). I then immediately contacted my credit card company to alert them of the situation as well. I was told that if the charges were reversed in the time frame I was promised that my account should reflect the change in 3 business days. I will be checking my account to see if these ripoff artists did as they promised. They got me for $75.00 plus change and I refuse to be taken advantage of. If anyone else is unfortunate enough to be taken by these scammers I would suggest calling them and your bank or credit card company ASAP. I will post any news regarding my refund or lack therof as soon as I find something out. I hope nobody else gets swindled by these crooks!!!

*UPDATE* At Home Rewards -- Received Refund Fast!!!

AUTHOR: Mrsm24 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, August 27, 2007

I called At Home Rewards to complain of the unauthorized charges made to my credit card. After speaking with their representative and also contacting my credit card company my refund was posted today 8/27/07 - only days from my original complaint. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly they responded to my complaint.
